The former ‘Royal Hotel’ was built around 1890 in the style of a ‘seaside villa’ thought be established for the visiting local gentry to Broad Haven. The property has an eclectic mix of external details and chimneys from the ‘Queen Anne’ revival period and is thought to have been designed by the Architect Hans Price of Weston Super Mare.
We acquired the property in 2018 following a decade of falling into disrepair and laying vacant. In need of complete renovation inside and out, we submitted and gained planning consent for the conversion of the property into a family home, plus penthouse flat and cottage for use as holiday accommodation.
Oochitecture have designed, managed and undertaken a significant amount of the construction work on the project. A series of photos and progress updates can be seen on our Instagram feed.
